“Those who don’t learn from history are doomed to ____________ it.”

“Those who learn from history have the best chance to _____________ it.”

If we only look ____________, it is difficult to see where we are _____________.   If we only look ________________ it is difficult to see where we have ______________.

The key is to look ______________ and ___________ to get to where you ___________ to be.

Love God…Love Others

The first time the word “love” is associated with God is in the _______  ______________.

Exodus 20:5-6

You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.

Jesus __________________ the importance of loving God and loving others.

Matthew 22:36-40

36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”

37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’[a] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[b] 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Love Well

            If Jesus didn’t come into the world to condemn it, is it    even remotely possible that God would give that job           to you or me?
