What Does 150 Years Really Mean?
This Sunday, April 27th, Buffalo Valley Church of the Brethren will celebrate 150 years of meeting as a local church on its current location. I would like to spend this week on the blog thinking about what this means. Is it important that a church has been around that long? What are some of the advantages/problems with a church that has been around for so many years? In a day and time when “new” is what is most often coveted by most people, is there still room for a church that has been around for so many years? Can the church be effective? If so how?
Tune in for the next week as we dialogue about some of these issues.
