What Are You Doing Today?

This is a common question that we are asked or that we ask others. I think that if we asked this question to all of the people who read this blog we would get many different answers. Some are off to school to teach. Others are off to an office to work. Others are retired and their schedule is a little different from day to day. Of course, no matter what we are “doing” today, if we are Jesus followers we are doing just that, following Him. Let me suggest something from Psalm 89 that we can all do today: I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever; With my mouth will I make known Your faithfulness to all generations. Could we all do this today? You don’t have to sing out loud if you don’t want to…that might be kind of weird and depending on your ability to sing, even painful to those around you. But one thing we can do today is to make the faithfulness of God known to those we come in contact with today. For some that might be an opportunity to share the gospel. For others it might be an opportunity to pray for someone. For others, it might be a chance to interject a biblical worldview into a discussion about politics or current events. Or, perhaps you will have a chance to speak of God’s faithfulness in your own life right now or in the past.

Let me encourage you to make a priority to make God’s faithfulness known today….singing is optional.
