“Peace Man”

Romans 12:18 contains some very good advice for each of us:  “If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men”. Imagine a world where each person lives out these words?  Imagine putting yourself in a “position of peace” with all men?  This means letting go of all grudges, forgiving anyone who has wronged you, not defrauding or taking advantage of anyone in your life. Of course, this doesn’t mean that everyone will be at peace with you or that you will bring about world peace. What it does mean, and what the Holy Spirit will enable you to do if you allow Him, is to live peaceably with all men as it pertains to you.  What an amazing promise.  These are simple words to read and powerful words by which to live.  As much as it depends on you, are you at peace with all men? If not, why not?  Get in the car and go to the one with whom you have no peace. Ensure that he/she knows that you are peace with him/her.  Pick up the phone and call that relative that you have harbored bitterness toward and apologize.  What do you have to lose…nothing really…but you stand to gain so much.  Do it…don’t delay.  Be a “peace man”…as much as it depends on you, live peaceably with all men.
