One of My Favorite Bible Verses

I wanted to spend one more day in Galatians 2 to talk about one of my favorite Bible verses. It is found in verse 20: 20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. This verse is so rich with incredible spiritual truth. The first phrase speaks to our identification with the death of Jesus Christ. By faith His death becomes my death. Let the words, “It is no longer I who live but Christ lives in me” roll around in your mind for a few seconds. In a very real way, if you are a follower of Jesus your life is not your own. Rather, your life belongs to Jesus. The life you live in the flesh is not lived under your own power but rather it is lived by faith. And Jesus proved His power and ability to live that life for you because of His love demonstrated on the cross. Will you allow Jesus to live your life for you? When you do, you remove the pressure of living it your way, having to worry and fret about the outcome of your decisions. Trust Jesus to live your life. He wants to do it and He can do it.
