Do You Want a “Better” Body?

We are inundated with questions like this on the internet, TV, magazines, etc…You can buy this program, this supplement, etc…to get a “better” body. Did you know the Bible offers a way to get a “better” body? In 1 Corinthians 15 we have a way to get a better body. Here is what Paul writes: 42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption. 43 It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power. 44 It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. 45 And so it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit. The Bible teaches that the follower of Jesus, through death, gets a better body. The bodies we have now are wracked by sin. They are corrupt, dishonorable and weak. But God promises to resurrect the bodies of those who have received Jesus as Savior, and to give them bodies that are incorrupt, glorious and powerful. There are no surgeries required, no hot yoga sessions required, no diets required…just death and resurrection…for the follower of Jesus. Want a “better” body? Keep your money for all those other things in your pocket and receive and follow Jesus. You will get a better body one day, and you get to keep it for all eternity!
