David’s In a Good Mood!

I hope you will have a day today like I think David had when he wrote Psalm 66. When I read Psalm 66 I am impressed by the way that David speaks about God. David writes about the greatness of God; the goodness of God. David speaks of the awesomeness of God and that His words are wonderful and that we should rejoice in Him. I suggest reading the psalm and knowing that this is the God that you serve. Your God is worthy of this kind of praise. I’m quite sure that David didn’t always have days like this. We know that from what we’ve read in the psalms already. However, he did have days like this, where the majesty and presence and mercy of God are overflowing. Same thing is true for us isn’t it? Not all of us have days where we feel like singing out the praises of God. But we should have days like this. God doesn’t just want us to come to Him when we need Him to do something for us. Prayer is more than just asking for things. Prayer is, at times, driving down the road or walking on the sidewalk, smiling and praising God for Who He is. Again, I encourage you to read this psalm and give praise to your great God!
