A New Journey

Today we begin a new journey on the blog after taking the summer off.  It was pointed out to me that my last post before I stopped was titled “Lazy”. I guess that was a bit of foreshadowing because when I wrote that post I had not intended to stop writing at that time.  But now I begin something new.  I will use this blog to supplement my sermon series on Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount titled “Life”.  Each day I will attempt to ask a question or make a comment regarding the text that I am preaching on at that time.  So, starting tomorrow we will take a more in-depth look at Matthew 5:1-12 which are commonly referred to as the Beatitudes.  But before we get there I would like to ask you this question…”What is real life?”  For you, what happens that makes life real?  Is it events or actions?  For you is it thoughts and emotions?  Jesus is going to show us some amazing things about Life as He knows it and as He desires us to live it.  I hope you will all come along for the ride.  I think it has the potential to enrich all of our lives.
